All workers should have the right to obtain information, upon their request, on their individual pay level and on the average pay levels, broken down by sex, for the category of workers performing the same work as them or work of equal value to theirs. They should also have the possibility to receive the information through workers’ representatives or through an equality body. Employers should inform workers of that right on an annual basis, as well as of the steps to be undertaken in order to exercise the right. Employers may also, on their own initiative, opt to provide such information without workers needing to request it.
