The role of the social partners is of key importance in designing the way pay transparency measures are implemented in Member States, especially in those with high collective bargaining coverage. Member States should therefore have the possibility to entrust the social partners with the implementation of all or part of this Directive, provided that Member States take all the necessary steps to ensure that the results sought by this Directive are guaranteed at all times.
